About this event

BreakThrough! Women's Café in collaboration with the School of Business and Management proudly welcomes you all to our March session at St Benet's, Chaplaincy yurt, Mile End Campus.

Come and meet the following female entrepreneurs and alumni of Queen Mary University of London and ask them about their journey, key advice on creating a business, their perspective on success and more:

BreakThrough! Women’s Café is a monthly free to use drop-in session held every month of the teaching term on campus at Queen Mary. Co-created by Dr Sadhvi Dar, Alicia George and with students and alumni at QMUL, the Cafe centers the knowledges and experiences of women of colour and it is open to all self-identifying women and non-binary people connected to QMUL. The Cafe has been running since 2018 and it has hosted a range of speakers including student activist groups, poets, local businesswomen, scholars, and covered themes of empowerment, navigating careers, community-building, self-care, Black Lives Matter, and feminism.
